In the year 2007, Dr. Shigeo Ohta of Nippon Medical School in Japan, published a research paper in the journal Natural Medical – a globally authoritative scientificmagazine, in which he sensationallyput forward the discovery that “Hydrogen acts as a therapeutic antioxidant by selectively reducing cytotoxic oxygen radicals”.This important finding had been the cornerstone of the research into the medicinal functions of molecular hydrogen.
On March 19th, 2014, China International Exchange and Promotion Association for Medical & On-goingHealth Care was held with BHB as the main sponsor. The conference attracted more than 200 specialists and scholars (including Dr. Shigeo Ohta and Dr. Atsunori) in the field, resulting inthe establishment ofThe Committee of Hydrogen MolecularBiomedical Professionals – a committee devoted to the medical research and ideas exchange associated with molecular hydrogen , as well as the development of the global hydrogen health industry.

Taishan Medical University have recent published findings indicate that drinking hydrogen-rich water for 10 weeks could reduce serum lipid levels in patients with metabolic syndrome, improve the levels of “good” lipoprotein (HDL). According to the introduction of Prof. Sun Xuejun, in the meantime, there are other hydrogen-rich water clinical trials are carried out at The Fourth Military Medical University, Nanjing Military Region General Hospital, Huai’an Hosptial, Tianjin Medical University General Hospital and Beijing Aerospace General Hospital, respectively, the clinical trial are in the subjects of ophthalmology, burns, brain injuries, severe hepatitis B, hepatocirrhosis, sub-health conditions and etc clinical and basic researches. Prof. Sun Xuejun pointed out that, the principle of hydrogen-rich water’s care and treatment is that,the hydrogen dissolved in water, then water bring hydrogen into the body as a carrier, and hydrogen can play a role of anti-oxidation. In 2009, Japan’s first to break the hydrogen molecules technical bottleneck problem, insolubled hydrogen in water and get the hydrogen saturated water, which is called hydrogen-rich water.
