HEC Pharm Group was founded in 2002, since then it has developed into three production sites, which together own six chemical production lines, three fermentation lines, and five formulation lines, with total investment more than 130 million USD. The products portfolio consists of 15 active pharmaceutical ingredients and over 30 dosage forms. HEC Pharm employs 2000 workers in all 30 Chinese provinces and in Japan, Korea, Europe, and America.
HEC Biochem Co. is a major subsidiary of HEC Pharm Group, with a focus on fermentation products. Its facilities were designed and built in compliance with ICH Q7A and cGMP. The company adopted state-of-the-art technology such as a membrane filtration system imported from Europe for the fermentation process. Today HEC Biochem is already one of the largest manufacturers of Macrolide antibiotics worldwide. The current fermentation capacity is 2000 tons of Erythromycin base and Erythromycin Thiocyanate. The production capacity for macrolides derivatives is 200 tons.
In addition to the macrolides antibiotics, HEC Pharm also built production facilities for more than 10 APIs, including Metronidazole and Oseltamivir.
